Items that are required or often requested
As a mobile clinic, this required charge covers a lot. The cost of travel and time getting to your home, reserving your scheduled appointment time for the stated length just for you, and the concierge service of at-home veterinary care. This amount is non-refundable, although in cases of rescheduling is fully transferrable in almost all cases.
For the most part, this is the minimum standard fee for most visits available to self-book online regardless of species and is therefore also a mandatory service. With self-bookable appointments every patient gets some sort of exam every time. The type of exam selected varies based on the reason for your visit. While it is a mandatory charge and does require advance payment, it is refundable or transferrable to a rescheduled appointment. We don't charge for this if we don't do the work.
If you book two or more pets for one visit together, we only charge one travel fee. Each still needs their own exam, but we also offer a discount of $15 off each exam fee that's booked for the same visit. It's a way to get all your pets updated at once and save some money!
These sometimes-needed types of appointments are assessed and created by your veterinarian when appropriate. They don't require an additional Exam Fee, which is collected during the initial appointment.
Provided as an extra service if requested. Trimming nails can be a difficult task, but an absolutely necessary one. If they're left unattended, they could grow so long they end up negatively affecting your pet's ability to walk comfortably. Truly neglected nails may need to incur an additional charge for extra care and time needed to adequately complete the task. Your Veterinarian or technician will advise before service if this is necessary.
It ain't pretty, but sometimes a little help is needed.
Woof.
Many times, your pet is ok with a longer duration and fewer pokes. Your Veterinarian will advise.

Is your dog active outside or plays in the river? Ask your doctor about this one. Not common, but when it hits- it can be nasty.
A pretty regular vaccine. Parvo kills puppies and it doesn't have to, but doesn't just infect the little ones. We have a way to prevent infection. Talk to your doctor with any questions.
Kennel cough. An easily transmissible respiratory infection spread from other dogs in boarding or social interactions- at the river, dog park, jogs, anywhere you may come in contact with other dogs. Ask if it's applicable to your particular lifestyle with your dog.
Outbreaks of "dog flu" (canine influenza) can happen anytime anywhere. The good news is there are only two known strains (H3N8 and H3N2), which helps us diagnose and treat with more confidence. Any social situation such as dog parks, dog events, shared water bowls, can be a cause of transmission. Help your canine stay healthy with this one.
A potentially deadly parasite transmitted by mosquitoes from infected animals. If infected there are treatments available, but prevention is the wisest and least painful choice for your pet. A test is the first step in setting up a prevention plan.
In our doctor's opinion- the best on the market so far. Prevent heartworm disease, kill fleas and ticks, treat and prevent flea infestations and treat and control roundworms and hookworms, all in one chewable tablet. Sized specifically for your dog's size.
Purr.
A different formulation from dogs. Newer vaccine avoids the cancer risk associated with previous formulations used in cats. Talk with your Veterinarian to establish what's right for you.

Same as above, just formulated for 1 year duration. Newer vaccine avoids the cancer risk associated with previous formulations used in cats.

Considered a core vaccine for your cat. 3 vaccinations in one, it covers some of the more severe potential issues. Feline viral rhinotracheitis (FVR), feline calicivirus (C), and panleukopenia (P). (FVR) can lead to a severe upper respiratory tract infection that can lay dormant until your cat is stressed, causing a flare-up impairing pulmonary defense mechanisms and leaving them susceptible to pneumonia. (continued below)
(C) is similar to above, but can lead to a more severe strain, which causes infection of their internal organs and is frequently fatal. (P) is highly contagious and has a high mortality rate. It causes anorexia, vomiting, fever, severe diarrhea, and leads to a very low white blood cell count preventing your cat from being able to activate their immune system normally. This vaccine helps prevent all that grief.
(Fe)line (L)eukemia (V)irus is one of the most common infectious diseases of cats in the world. Infected cats can be asymptomatic carriers for years, but some cats can have a mortality rate of ~50% in 2 years and 80% in 3 years. Transmission generally takes place during close social contact between infected and uninfected, unvaccinated cats. The virus is shed through saliva, but also present in blood, urine, feces, tears and nasal secretions, as well as in the milk of infected mothers.
This test is essential for ensuring the health and well-being of your cat, especially those at risk of these viral infections. The FIV/FeLV test for cats is a simple blood test that can determine if your cat has been infected with either the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) or the Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). Results provided during your visit.
Easy to apply topical solution applied monthly provides year-round protection. Protection from a broad spectrum of parasites, kills fleas, ticks, heartworm, hookworm, roundworms and tapeworms. Sized based on your cat's weight.
Many, many more options are also available and will be discussed with you by your veterinarian at time of service, if recommended.
For each pet being seen, please include the names and species (cat/dog) of each in the Special Requests box. We will contact you separately to get additional information.
