It is unfortunate that we're unable to care for every pet, every time, regardless of circumstance. We are a very small operation, and we understand our prices may be a little out of reach for some- it's why we provide these hopefully helpful links.
Even if we can't be your choice because of price, we want you to have access to the care you need and deserve. Many of these programs are partially paid for by our taxes, so please take advantage of them if you need to. For available free or low-cost options please explore the links below. Sacramento Area Cities
City of Sacramento offers city residents free and low-cost options.
City of Rancho Cordova offers city residents free vaccine, microchipping, spay and neuter options.
City of Elk Grove offers city residents free microchipping and vaccine options.
Sacramento County Options
Sacramento SPCA offers reduced-cost vaccination and microchip clinics.
Bradshaw Animal Shelter offers a low-cost vaccine clinic, as well as offers many resources to Pet Owners In Need.
Front Street Animal Shelter offers occasional free vaccination and microchip clinics. See website for availability.
dogandcatshots offers lower-priced, high-volume vaccine clinics at rotating locations throughout the area.
PAWS Mobile Clinic is dedicated solely to pets of unhoused pet owners.
Placer and El Dorado Counties
Placer County SPCA offers residents reduced rate options.
Fieldhaven Feline Center offers a Spay/ Neuter Assistance Program for feral and community cats, as well as owned cats.
Animal Spay and Neuter Clinic, a 501(c3) non-profit, offers reduced cost spay/ neuter surgeries as well as vaccine clinics.
El Dorado County Humane Society conducts clinics as well as spay/ neuter coupons to residents. Check their website for times and details.
El Dorado County Animal Services runs a Community Pet Pantry for those in need of temporary assistance.
