Welcome Waggin' offers a range of mobile veterinary services that do not require a physical building/ sterile surgical suite including-
- preventative care,
- vaccines
- bloodwork and diagnostics,
- medications/ Rx renewals,
- sickness remediation,
- small injuries like abrasions and pulled muscles,
- and that most personal of moments- at home euthanasia.
Our services do not include grooming, or surgical, less-mobile friendly items like x-rays, teeth removal/ cleaning, mass removals, spay/neuter/surgeries, etc.

List of Most Requested Services and Charges
Many clinics now limit you to 10-15 minutes maximum of face time with the doctor during appointments. Dr. Sara is in your home for a minimum of 30 minutes, typically longer depending on need, talking with you. This enables her to truly get to know and understand your pet(s) and their issues. It also allows for more time for you to address concerns in a non-rushed environment. Imagine the cost of having to schedule 2-3 vet visits to get the same amount of doctor time to address your issues.
Keep in mind price includes not only the cost of the supplies used, but also not-so obvious intangible items like extra appointment time with the Dr., top-level customer service, the small additional costs associated with Fear Free medicine, willingness to go above and beyond for you and your pet, schooling and knowledge (UC Davis VetMed school was #1 in the world during Dr. Sara's attendance), and the convenience of us coming to you so you don't have to load anyone into the car.

Can you get care cheaper? Probably. There are a lot of clinics out there to choose from- some stuck in the old ways of providing pet care. And some of those not only beat us on price but also skimp on their service to you and your pet. Many aren't Fear Free or able to spend a little extra time on your case as needed. If absolute price is what's most important to you, we may not be your choice.
Are we the most expensive? Most likely not. We're in it to advocate for pets, but we try to make a living at it and meds and supplies cost money, so we have to charge something.
Are you happy with the care and service we provide for the value? Only you can answer that for yourself. But we do have many, many people who are actively following us from Dr. Sara's previous places of employment and choosing her again and again. So, that makes us happy.

While overall charges vary depending on the services you order and accept, every type of visit self-bookable online requires a Travel and Service Fee and an Exam. Because those two items are mandatory for every self-bookable visit type, we require a deposit (Travel and Service Fee) and pre-payment (Exam Fee) equal to those charges at the time of booking which is applied in full to your overall visit total.
Especially pertinent to new clients/ patients, state law requires any veterinarian to have performed an exam prior to administering any medications or vaccines.
The Travel and Service Fee guarantees your chosen time for booking and covers the associated credit card fees levied on every transaction, which is why it's therefore non-refundable for cancellations and "no shows". They don't refund us those charges- rather they charge again for the refund. However, with appropriate notice the full amount may be transferred during a rescheduling.
This is why we request that you please be absolutely sure you prefer a visit with us before booking. Help us help others by minimizing last-minute cancellations, keeping appointment times available, and limiting unnecessary refund charges to you.

Please call or text us at (916) 545-5195 for assistance with a reschedule or cancellation. Cancellations can also be conducted via our app (if you're using it) up to 2 hours before your appointment, but we're always happy to assist you via phone or text as well.
Rescheduling is sometimes necessary and we understand. There's no penalty for unexpected schedule complications with appropriate notice. Your continued trust and loyalty are more important to us than your deposit money.
Because your appointment time is reserved just for you at time of booking, last-minute cancellations wreak havoc on our schedule and prevent others from getting the care they need when they need it. Cancellations, although sometimes necessary, still incur costs, especially with credit card companies. They get you coming and going, which is predominantly why our Travel and Service Fee is non-refundable. Please consider a reschedule, whenever possible, to avoid this.
Help us avoid limiting help by letting us know as soon as you know if you need to adjust your appointment. Someone needing one will be thankful for your consideration.

By state law, every pet seen requires their own exam before any vet can treat/ prescribe medications for them and that changes the required deposit amount accordingly. We do offer a discount when you book multiple pets for one visit (See "How Much...?" above). Our multi-pet appointments block more visit time than our standard appointments to account for additional pets and include our per pet discount in their deposit amount.
We have multi-pet scheduling options (2,3,4,5 pets) through our online booking software. Select the option that corresponds to your situation and select one pet's name to be "primary" for the appointment, then list the other names in the "Special Requests" box on the main page. You will receive a follow-up text shortly after booking that asks for each pet's information so we can complete their records for the doctor before your scheduled visit.

Currently, we service all these color-coded areas every day. It makes for a lot of traffic delays. We're working on setting up and soon rolling out separate Service Areas that help us reduce our travel times to you by improving our appointment flow in any given day. Each Service Area will have dedicated appointment times/ days to select from each week, based on how busy/ concentrated each zone is for us. Of course, when the time comes- if the listed available dates/ times just do not work with your schedule, please reach out to us via telephone. We will work to fit you into a different acceptable day, but please understand that possibly incurs an additional Out-Of-Area convenience fee. This amount will vary based on how far outside the day's established Areas you are located.
Over the weekend of 8/27- 8/31, we are transitioning fully to our Service Area format and those options will go live at that time for selection. In the meantime, as we get closer to those dates if you are looking to schedule an appointment after 8/27 our schedule is currently showing as blocked to assist in this transition. But please call us and we are happy to manually book you until everything is live. (916) 545-5197
